TERMS OF SERVICE
Governing the peer-to-peer transfer of endurance sports race entries at face value, and the Priority Pass.
1. MARKETPLACE ROLE & INDEPENDENT PLATFORM STATUS
RelayBib is operated by Pila Studio UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Berlin, registered at Amtsgericht Charlottenburg under HRB 289822 B ("RelayBib", "we", "us"); see our imprint. RelayBib operates a technology communications platform and resale directory facilitating peer-to-peer transfers of road race entries and bib numbers between registered participants ("Sellers") and prospective runners ("Buyers").
Unless explicitly designated as a "Verified Partner," RelayBib is not an agent, organizer, or affiliate of individual race organizers (for example the Haspa Hamburg Marathon, the BMW Berlin Marathon, or local clubs). Transfers are executed by Sellers using the official mechanisms provided by event organizers.
2. PRICES & PAYMENTS
Entries may only be offered at or below the price the Seller paid for the entry, and never above the highest price published by the organizer. Organizer transfer fees are paid by the Buyer directly to the organizer and are not part of the asking price.
A Seller may also offer a race-weekend accommodation booking with their entry, at or below the price they paid for it, and only if the hotel or booking site allows the booking to be moved to the Buyer's name. The Buyer can always take the entry without the room. Rooms are arranged and paid directly between Buyer and Seller: RelayBib is not a party to that agreement, does not process room payments, and Protected Payment covers the entry only.
Buyers can either arrange payment directly with the Seller, or use Protected Payment. With Protected Payment, the payment is processed and held by our payment provider Stripe — RelayBib never holds the funds — and is paid out to the Seller only when:
- the Buyer confirms the entry is registered in their name; or
- 5 days have passed since the Seller started the official transfer without the Buyer reporting a problem; or
- RelayBib decides a reported problem in the Seller's favour.
If the Seller does not start the official transfer within 72 hours of payment, or before the organizer's transfer deadline, RelayBib refunds the Buyer in full. The Buyer pays a protection fee shown before payment. Payments arranged directly between users are not covered.
3. ORGANIZER TAKEDOWN & NOTICE COMPLIANCE (24-HOUR SLA)
In accordance with communications and intermediary best practices, RelayBib respects the proprietary rules of athletic organizers. If an authorized race director submits a notice that entry transfers are not permitted for their specific event, RelayBib permanently suppresses and blocks all current and future listings for that event within 24 business hours through our Race Director Portal.
4. REPORTING PROBLEMS
If a Seller misrepresents registration details or a listing violates an organizer's rules, report it through the listing or our feedback form. RelayBib may remove listings and suspend accounts, but cannot reverse payments made directly between users.
5. PRIORITY PASS
5.1 What you buy
A Priority Pass is a one-off payment for one race. You pay on our checkout page, through our payment provider Stripe. Until the official transfer deadline (or, where the race has none, race day), and while your alert for that race is active, we email you every bib listed on RelayBib that is within your max price, as soon as it is listed. Free alerts go out 24 hours later, and only for bibs still unsold by then.
A Priority Pass does not guarantee that a bib becomes available, or that you get one. There is no refund because no bib was listed.
5.2 Bibs on other websites
When we spot a bib for your race on another website, we may check it and email it to you. This is an extra, not part of what you pay for: we don't promise to search other websites, how often we look, or that we will find anything. These bibs are not sold through RelayBib and have no RelayBib payment protection. We say so in every such email.
5.3 Cancelling
You can cancel within 14 days of payment and get the full price back. To cancel, write to [email protected].
5.4 Delivery
We send alerts by email to the address you gave. We aren't responsible for delays caused by your email provider or spam filters.
